How You’ll Make a Difference

Drives value creation at Aurora Health Care by applying expertise in the integration of clinical or revenue cycle applications. Identifies and delivers strategic and/or key operational initiatives, including identification and achievement of measurable outcomes. Acts as an expert within assigned areas and applies functional and business expertise in clinical or revenue cycle applications. Increases the operational depth of teams in the department through knowledge transfer, mentoring and coaching.

Articulates business value and strategy for the purpose of coordinating with the Aurora strategic clinical service lines or the Aurora Revenue Cycle department to ensure technology is fully leveraged to achieve operational excellence. Researches how external provider organizations are using clinical or revenue cycle applications in the market to achieve or exceed industry best practices in key performance metrics.

Mentors and coachs senior analysts in integrated workflow and functionality around Epic applications.

Analyzes initiatives in the IT Clinical or Revenue Cycle project portfolio to identify the specific, measurable outcomes expected for each initiative. Implements processes and tools to measure benefits associated with individual projects.

Provides direction and recommendations on projects to ensure that relevant Epic applications are optimally configured to achieve the highest benefit for the project.

Evaluates current application configuration within Epic to identify and implement opportunities for improvement.

Reviews portfolio of clinical or revenue cycle applications currently in use at Aurora to determine if there are redundant solutions in place that could be eliminated by leveraging Epic utilities.

Collaborates with IT and operations teams to ensure resources are allocated appropriately.

Engages other IT application teams to identify opportunities to streamline the integration of revenue cycle and clinical data and processes.

Supports project management efforts to manage/mitigate risk, create communication plans, propose implementation strategies and manage work plans and scope.

License & Certifications

None Required.


Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.


Typically requires 7 years of experience in Epic applications and related business and project management experience.

Epic certified in multiple clinical or revenue cycle applications. Knowledge leader and recognized expert in the integration of Epic within functional and business areas. Expert in Change Management processes.Ability to approach problems from a ?big picture? perspective, with analysis of long-term ramifications of decisions.Ability to recommend best practices and execute objectives.Solves complex problems with innovative solutions.Demonstrates the ability to work with a minimal amount of supervision with proficiency in the ability to instruct, guide, assign, advise and mentor team members. Strong communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate with key leaders.Demonstrated experience working with clinical and technical customers, vendors, peers, and management. Ability to influence and direct work teams. Strong mentoring and knowledge transfer capabilities.Ability to handle multiple tasks, set appropriate priorities and accomplish assignments in a thorough and timely manner.
